π β¨ MEDAL MONDAY β¨π
Another incredible weekend of racing for Nottingham Triathlon Club! πβ€οΈ
Whether it was taking on one of the world's toughest long-distance triathlons, racing over the fells, pushing hard in a fast 5K, tackling an obstacle course, competing in the HPRC Grand Prix or testing endurance over 24 hours, our members were out doing what they love and representing the club with pride. π
π Lindsay completed the legendary Challenge Roth in an outstanding 13:45:43, a PB on the run, conquering one of the world's most iconic long-distance triathlons. After 226 km of racing, Lindsay showed incredible determination to cross the finish line and earn that well-deserved medal. What an achievement! πͺ

πΈ When you smash a PB on the run at Challenge Roth... and guess who asks you for a photo! π π
π Huge congratulations to Lindsay on an incredible performance at @challengeroth one of the world's most iconic long-distance triathlons, finishing in an outstanding 13:45:43! ππͺ
It wasn't all plain sailing. With the race being non-wetsuit, Lindsay was kicked in the stomach by a breaststroker and even lost her swim hat! After the first swim lap, she admitted she was ready to call it a day.
Then came one of those moments that reminds us what endurance sport is all about. A random German competitor gave Lindsay a hug while she had a little cry lifting her spirits just when she needed it most. β€οΈ
A caffeine gel and some Coke later, she sang her way around the second lap. At 100 miles on the bike, in biblical rain, she sang even louder, before having "We Are the Champions" on repeat for the final 12 miles all the way to the finish line. ππ€ͺ
That determination, resilience and refusal to give up is what Challenge Roth is all about.
π Race Stats π Swim (3.8 km): 1:44:32 π΄ Bike (180 km): 7:10:40 π Run (42.2 km): 4:41:34 β±οΈ T1: 0:04:47 β±οΈ T2: 0:04:10 π Overall: 13:45:43
